Heinrich is a Director at Minde Schapiro & Smith. He shares in the management responsibilities through the Executive and Marketing Committees of the firm. His ambition is to continually improve the firm through the implementation of efficient processes and the strengthening of relationships between the firm and its clients.
In addition, Heinrich represents financial institutions as a director of the litigation division where he applies his expertise in High Court litigation.
Heinrich is known as someone who is always open to embracing new ideas and technology, without compromising his strong work ethic and principles. Passionate about pro bono community work, he has served as a Commissioner of the Small Claims Court for the area of Tygerberg since 2009.
Once an avid Ironman and Comrades Marathon participant, he now simply jogs for pleasure in his spare time.

Elzanne is a Director at Minde Schapiro & Smith who specialises in administrative law, public interest law and local government/municipal litigation.
She has played an instrumental role in many high-profile Constitutional Court cases where ground-breaking constitutional issues were addressed.
Elzanne joined the firm in 2002 as a Candidate Legal Practitioner, after graduating with BA and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001. She was admitted as an attorney and a notary public in 2004 and as a conveyancer in 2007. Elzanne served on the Tygerberg Attorneys Association for five years, as well as the Cape Law Society Magistrates’ Court Committee. In addition, she has continued to serve as a Commissioner of the Small Claims Court since 2010 and is also a lecturer to candidate legal practitioners for Magistrates’ Court Practice, on behalf of Legal Education and Development.
In her spare time, as a married mother of three Elzanne loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Venesen is a Director in the Litigation Department of Minde Schapiro & Smith.
Having been admitted as an attorney in 2005, he has many years of experience specialising in civil litigation in both the Magistrates’ Court and the High Court. In addition to his litigation practice, Venesen also advises commercial and corporate clients in respect of effectively managing their debtors book and also ensuring that they are adequately protected in the event of any disputes arising with their suppliers or customers.
In light of the nature of litigation often being stressful and expensive, Venesen’s approach to every matter requiring dispute resolution is to explore all possible avenues of resolving the matter in the quickest and most cost effective way for clients.
When entrusted with a matter, he is always willing to go above and beyond in order to ensure client satisfaction.

Jonathan has a wealth of experience. As a Director, he manages our branch office in Gqeberha. His areas of expertise include commercial, corporate and property law. An old boy from Grey High School in Gqeberha, he was awarded BCom (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth (subsequently renamed the Nelson Mandela University), and an LLM degree from the University of South Africa.
He believes strongly in paying attention to detail but not losing sight of the big picture. He also enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with friends.
